Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer. What Bose specs and what the speakers are really rated at are two different things. Bose specs that the speakers are compatible with “4 to 8 ohm receivers”, which is silly. The speakers measure at a nominal 6.5 ohms which is the technical d.c.r. of an 8 ohm speaker.
What to do with a Bose cube speaker?
If the dual cube speakers were being utilized in a small room, as left, right and surrounds, with a decent home theater receiver from the likes of Denon or Onkyo, in addition with a high end powered subwoofer, would these two things balance out the pitfalls of the Bose Lifestyle systems.

Does anyone know the frequency range of the Bose cube speakers, or have any technical specs on them. I’ve read the numerous bad reviews on these speakers, and am inclined to believe most if not all of them (I do agree they are overpriced) however I still have questions about the cube speakers.
