Are there any HDMI receivers that can be repaired?

Onkyo is offering to repair receivers with HDMI issues such as no audio on receivers made between 2009-2012. I’m sending them two receivers I purchased in 2012. Adam Gregorich, ChromeJob, andySu and 1 other person like this. Wow, great timing! I’m having these problems. And I’m eligible for this support! Thanks for the sticky thread!

How many capacitors are on a HDMI board?

The videos are specifically for the SR606 and I was initially concerned that the details might not apply exactly to the later model, but the essentials are the same: there are five capacitors (100mf 4V) on the HDMI board which have to be replaced.

Why is my HDMI 807 board discolored?

I have a dead (again) 707 and a 807 that I use the “heat up the chip” trick. But, the 807 board is discolored from the heat… Wonder if that means they are simply switching boards. I have a dead (again) 707 and a 807 that I use the “heat up the chip” trick.

Where can I get Onkyo to repair my HDMI?

Click to expand… They are both included. They are both included. Click to expand… Then I’ll send them in as I think you live in the Chicagoland area and they repair and ship these items out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Glad to hear turnaround time could be fast. Onkyo has a reputation for very slow repair service.
