Can you upgrade the firmware of a FT2000 radio?
These instructions if followed exactly will enable you to upgrade your FT2000 radio to the latest version of the firmware available as of 1stFeb 07. This software requires a PC running Windows (XP recommended) & a real DB-9 or DB-25 serial port. This software is NOT certified for use with a USB Serial port adaptor.
When did the reference menu number change to FT2000?
ATTENTION: the FT2000 reference MENU NUMBER is changed from the version FT2000 PEP (>1.41/11.20).
Is there an ON / OFF switch on FT-2000?

Are there any audio settings for the FT-2000?
I am by no means an “expert” when it comes to adjusting the audio settings in the FT-2000, but through a lot of trial and error I’ve adjusted mine to the point where I get pretty good audio reports. All it really takes is some patience and helpful hams on the air to get great sounding audio out of the FT-2000.
How can I Turn On my FT2000 radio?
The VOX button on the front of the radio must be on. Set the level of audio being sent so the transmitter goes into TX. Try adjusting the PC and Menu 71 so that there is no overdriving or clipped signals. See the software page on different programs and settings for the FT2000.
Where is the firmware on the ft-2000d?
