How do I connect my PS3 to my home theater with HDMI?

plug the PS3 into the Home theater receiver, and the cable box if you have one, and then run an HDMI cable fro the home theater receiver output into the TV. You would select the PS3 or cable box with the home theater remote and it would switch the correct inputs and route them to the home theater output.

Does PS3 have arc?

Yes, ARC does work with the PS3.

What should I do if my Onkyo receiver turns itself off?

If all else fails, turn it off, unplug everything (except the A/C plug!) from the receiver and turn it back on. If it works, you’ve got a short in one of the cables or in what’s connected by the cable. It should be pretty easy to figure out which one. I have an Onkyo receiver that is about 5 years old.

How old is the Onkyo receiver Model # 575?

I have an Onkyo receiver that is about 5 years old. The model # is 575 and it has been great until a few days ago. I turned it off Saturday night (it was working fine), the when I turned it on Sunday morning it turns on fine, but after about 2 seconds it turns itself off.

What kind of speakers does Onkyo dr-s2.2 have?

May sound basic, but just double check that none of the left/right speaker cables or connectors are touching. I have an Onkyo DR-S2.2 that I purchased about 1 1/2 yrs. ago. I just unpacked it from being stored for approx. 6 months (due to building a house) and hooked it up.

How does the Onkyo TX-SR506 home theater receiver work?

HDMI Switching: The TX-SR506 has three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output for connecting DVD players, HDTV set-top boxes, and other video components to your TV or projector. The receiver’s HDMI circuitry is a switching pass-through design, and will pass video and 2-channel (stereo) digital audio through to the TV.

How is the sound quality on the Onkyo?

The sound quality is great, crystal clear and rich. It automatically detects the best listening mode for a source (for instance, if you are watching a DVD the Onkyo can tell if it is a 2.0, or Dolby 5.1, etc) so you are not forever changing the sound settings.

Which is better Yamaha or Onkyo surround receiver?

The bedroom has a Yamaha HTR-5860 7.1 YPAO configured surround receiver. So, to do some comparing, I played a few scenes from a few blu-rays on each system, and I hate to say it, but the Onkyo TX-SR506 just sounds better. The bass is stronger and tighter, the highs are cleaner, and the surround sound effects are more enveloping.

Can you use Onkyo while watching a DVD?

It automatically detects the best listening mode for a source (for instance, if you are watching a DVD the Onkyo can tell if it is a 2.0, or Dolby 5.1, etc) so you are not forever changing the sound settings. As a side note, if you experience an echo while watching a DVD, make sure the volume is turned all the way down on the TV itself.
