Try pressing on the draw repeatedly while pressing the open button. Our unit does this too. Could be a worn out belt also. Apart from the above suggestions. I would guess that a disc is stuck. This unit stacks the discs rather than having a circular 5 disc tray. What makes this worse is that the other 4 discs are held up above the tray.
