Try disabling it. As above you need to manually select the external audio input via the remote. HDMI Input 2 of the TV is ARC enabled connect the HDMI Output of the Home Cinema System to HDMI 2 on the TV and the TV will pass its audio signal back to the System over the HDMI cable. Any HDMI cable will do no need for anything fancy.

How to connect an old surround sound 5.1 system to a new DVD player?
Connecting an old surround sound 5.1 system to a new dvd player I have an old 5.1 surround sound system with 6 audio input ports. However my new dvd player only has 2 audio output ports (red & white / left and right) where as my old dvd player has 6. Is there any way i can connect them?
