How does a Panasonic SA-HT subwoofer work?

How does a Panasonic SA-HT subwoofer work?

On the WA-870 subwoofer, there is a constant 6v system supply when it is plugged in and on standby. This is fed to the DVD head which when turned on sends around 5v back down to the sub which triggers a relay and turns on the main transformer which in turn supplies the main supply for the headunit plus the sub amps.

Why does my Panasonic home theater not work?

I can see the home theater connects to the TV via Viera link but no sound coming. Although when I play a DVD in the home theater the sound works fine but not when on Sky or PS. Can someone please help. ARC doesn’t work unless both the TV and HTS support (and it has to be turned on in the set up menu too).

Why is my audio not working on my TV?

Turn off the TV and the audio system. Turn on the TV first, then turn on the audio system. On your TV speaker settings, set the Digital Audio Output to PCM. If the audio system connected to the TV doesn’t support DTS or Dolby Digital, it may not output sound depending on the type of broadcast or video.

Where are the 5.1 channels on the Panasonic SA-HT subs?

Once the sub is on, you can then feed the 5.1 channels directly through the 25 pin plug on the back of the sub. The last “gotcha” is that the inputs to the sub amps are not capacitively decoupled – this is done at the DVD end so it would be wise to chuck some bipolar decoupling caps on each input (still working on this as well).
