How much does it cost to buy an apple tree?
Most trees cost about $25 retail. You need at least two apple trees, so they can pollinate each other. Order your trees in December so that they arrive, bare root and ready to plant, by February. Head out to the backyard to find a spot for your new trees.

Standard fruit trees are the largest-size fruit trees available. Without the size-restriction of dwarf or semi-dwarf rootstocks, these trees are reminiscent of their “standard”, full heights.

How to choose the best apple tree for your backyard?
Do not plant it any deeper. If planting a balled and burlap wrapped tree, plant it no deeper than where the top of the burlap reaches. Spread out the roots with your fingers and gently fill in the soil around the roots. Prune off any dead or broken branches. Water the tree well after planting.
