I have a bose companion 5 speaker system that is not working. I have called Bose and… I have a bose companion 5 speaker system that is not working. I have called Bose and they could not help and even bought another control pod and that did not solve the problem. I have looked for local bose repair services (I live in NJ) but could not find any.

If you have a Bose Factory Store near you, you could go in and ask them about it. It’s a discontinued set now so they may have a factory renewed set that they could offer you a discount on. Choose Open Sound Settings. A windows will pop open. Look at the Input section; there should be a drop down to select another input (mic). Hit that drop down and choose the Logitech C920 Pro HD Webcam mic and try that. Even in some software (apps) I have to choose that particular mic for it to function.
