Why did my Yamaha rx-v1600 receiver burn out?
It’s a shame too, the RX-V1600 is a nice unit. It burned out slowly over the course of a few days. There is no protection mechnaism they can employ against a slow melt down like that. You simply used it way past its designed limit.
Is the Yamaha RX V1600 an AV receiver?
I know this is a AV receiver but still it is from Yamaha and I expected a bit better audio quality.

How much does a Yamaha rx-v1800 cost?
I paid $1400 (including 25% discount) + $80 for the iPod connector and given the unit is 26 months old, don’t want to shell out for a new one. There are so many wires/connections coming out of it, not to mention stuff sitting on it, it will be a real PITA to get it all unhooked to take to the repairer :- (
Why does my Yamaha 1600 sound so bad?
The reason I’m asking this question is because, i feel that this Yamaha 1600 was unable to push for those speakers (but not SPEAKER) which we are using now, and when I try to louder the master volumn, i felt that the sound quality was very messy and I can’t feel any “CLEAR AND NATURAL POWERFUL ,,SEE MOVIE I FEEL ,I IN THEATER ,,SOUND LIKE TRUE”.
